This past weekend I celebrated my 26th birthday, and Chris and my 4th anniversary. Chris was like, "Let's go somewhere, anywhere you want!", and of course I was like "EDMONTON!!". It's not a particularly glamorous, or eventful city, but I have a group of friends there, that I went to school with, and I missed them!
I miss my friend Leanne because she and I have fun adventures together! When she lived in London, we used to be like a magnet for creepy men with horrible pick up lines; one of my favourites being,
Mary: Opps, sorry, did I bump into you and spill your drink?
Man: No, but I wish you had (eyebrows - eyebrows)
Mary: What does that even mean? You wish I had spilt your drink? Is it supposed to be sexual? That doesn't mean anything!
I miss my friend Suzie because we're very similar. I mean she's like a 5'2" Asian, but other than that, spot-on!
I miss my friend Matt because he's like easily the nicest person I know! As if that wasn't enough, he was in a Spice Girl's video too!!
So, apparently the New Kids On The Block were in town at the same time Chris and I were. In grade 2 and 3, I was like the number one New Kids fan! So we all wracked our brains to try and figure out where they might hangout, so we could accidentally bump into them, and then they'd probably become our best friends...probably
The more cocktails we consumed the cleverer we got. We started dissecting their songs to look for clues: "'Hanging Tough', they could be at a gym?", " 'Please Don't Go Girl', an airport perhaps?", "'Step by Step', hmm some sort of staircase?"...but in the end, the mystery proved too much for us.
But the main realization regarding NKOTB:
Did you ever notice that only trashy girls liked Donnie the best?
And don't write me and say that you're offended because you liked Donnie and you are not/were not trashy, because this statement is 100% accurate and I'm sorry you're just going to have to come to terms with yourself.

soooo true, the trash loved donnie!
I'm a Donnie girl. I wasn't trashy at the time (too young) but I had a trashy heart. I'm still a Donnie girl, and I always will be.
The show was so good!
i would have LOVED to see a show...I was a Jordan girl though...it's funny how he wasn't the "trashy one", but he still had a rat's tail down to his belly button
